“What separates privilege from entitlement is gratitude”

Growing up in an entrepreneurial environment, I was trained to work with both people and numbers. It made sense early on to me to become a CPA. I acquired a combination of business acumen from my father, Al, and a sense of empathy from my mother, Nina. Together, these help me provide clients with exceptional personal service and sound advice.

Quick Q&A with Patrick Lordo

Why did I become a CPA?

Growing up in a family business and siblings that were slanted towards sales, there was a missing role for the financial piece. I enjoyed working with people and was good with numbers.  The combination of those two brought me down the path of the CPA profession.

What is my family like?

Being part of a blended family has been a true gift. My wife is funny, witty, loyal and beautiful.  We have three grown children between the two of us that have similar attributes.  Family gatherings are a highlight.  The third generation is comprised of 4 delightful grandchildren.

What’s the #1 thing to look for in a CPA?

Commitment. Is your CPA committed to your best interest? Clients should feel and know that there CPA has their best interest in mind. After commitment, look for experience, technical knowledge, and up-to-date technology.
